HJ has been at MDD Forensic Accountants since 1999. He spent six years at the firm’s New York City office, followed by two years in London, England before moving to Canada. HJ is a Senior Consultant at MDD and manages the firm’s Hamilton, Ontario office.
His practice concentrates on business interruption, extra expenses, stock & contents, product liability & recall, fidelity claims and personal injury & wrongful death. HJ has significant experience in the catastrophe services area. He has handled files related to both man-made and natural disasters including assignments connected to 9/11 and Hurricanes Floyd, Katrina, and Rita.
HJ has worked on projects throughout the U.S. and Canada as well as in Europe. His expertise encompasses a wide range of industries including retail and wholesale, power generation, mining, commercial rental properties, pulp and paper, chemical manufacturing, hotels and resorts, offshore oil and gas, construction and steel manufacturing and processing.
HJ has conducted numerous seminars and workshops on a variety of forensic accounting topics and is a key member of the firm’s global mining practice.
He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Wagner College in Staten Island, New York.
