John joined MDD Forensic Accountants’ Vancouver office in 2012 as a Co-op student. He is now a Senior Manager/Vice President at the firm.
John’s practice specializes in quantifying economic damages related to business interruption, extra expenses, personal injury & wrongful death, lost profits, and stock & contents. He has completed numerous assignments involving first-party and third-party insurance coverage.
He has provided litigation support and expert witness testimony before the Supreme Court of British Columbia.
John has also been involved in preparing business valuation reports in a variety of contexts, including contractual and shareholder disputes.
John has experience in a wide variety of industries, some of which include pulp and paper, mining, rail, construction, power generation, franchising, manufacturing, real estate, financial services, professional services, and healthcare.
He has presented seminars on the topic of economic damage quantification and has worked in the catastrophe services area on files relating to the 2016 Fort McMurray wildfires and the 2017 British Columbia wildfires.
John received his Bachelor of Business Administration (Honours) with concentrations in Accounting and Management Information Systems from Simon Fraser University. He also holds the professional designations of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) and Chartered Business Valuator (CBV).
